The first step to securing the perfect rental property is to work out how much rent you can afford to pay and what sort of property will suit your requirements. Once you have established this, you can then proceed with investigating what properties are available in the Indigo area. When you find a property that interests you, you can then arrange to have an inspection with one of our agents or, attend the open for inspection days.
First impressions are very important, ensure to turn up to your appointment on time and have a clean and tidy appearance.
Once you have viewed the property the agent will provide you with a residential tenancy application. This will ask you an array of information about yourself, if you wish to apply for the property you need to ensure to complete this application in full and include as much information as possible to support your application. When it comes to your references, it is best to put down the best contact numbers for each reference as this speeds up the process. It is very important to complete your application as quickly as possible as properties in the Indigo area do tend to lease very quickly.
If you are successful with your application you will then be asked to sign a lease and other relevant documents as well as pay the first fortnight’s rent in advance and a calendar month’s rent as a bond.
